It becomes difficult to define culismo without going through a description of its characters. But, how does one go about it without making it seem shallow and meaningless? Despite getting its name in virtue of its shapes (culo = ass in spanish), these on their own could not fulfill the entire concept. Because the message in culismo does not simply lie on the situation portrayed, but deep into each of its characters.

Closely engaged with pop culture, the characters in culismo appear immersed in everyday situations, frequently sorrounded by objects from mass consumption society. With just the right dosis of humor, and working within codes which result familiar to audiences, the actors in culismo become entities filled with emotions, often undefined but cleverly perceived. In this manner, culismo brings forth a universe of curves and harmonies which takes its own path through the alleys of human nature. There´s a heartbeat, somewhere, inside the characters of culismo.
